TEH SUCK. D:

Seriously, it was like I just couldn't do ANYTHING. I couldn't get my butt up out of bed in the mornings without monumental efforts. Now it's still a little bit of an issue (gotta get UP to take meds, lol) but I just leave my medication and a bottle of water on my bedside table and that works fairly well.

I was also VERY sensitive to criticism or rejection, especially from those I love. I had a hard time leaving the house by myself, couldn't do anything around the house, couldn't remember to take the dogs out, that I had an appointment, that I had a bill withdrawing from the bank. It sucks.

Things are definitely getting better now that I have the medication, but there are still things I've got to work on, like doing things I really don't want to do (housework) and getting up in the mornings to roll over and take my medication.

I've been to therapists several times over the years for 'depression' symptoms but nobody connected that I wasn't depressed, I just had a neurological issue that kept me from being very active. Lol. So I've actually been this way since elementary school, around 7 or 8.

That's one of the criteria for diagnosis btw-it doesn't pop up out of nowhere! You have to have a childhood history of it in order to be diagnosed as an adult, whether it was diagnosed when you were a child or not.
